FORO BAI 2026 was inaugurated with the participation of Rafael Argullol, one of the most prominent voices in contemporary thought in the Spanish-speaking world. Titled “Between Faust and Mephistopheles: A New Humanism,” the session took place on March 26, 2026, at the Salón Pinaquy in Pamplona, in a conversational format with Eduardo Prieto and Francisco Mangado. The presentation and closing of the conference were led by Patricia Minguito, BAI’s academic and institutional communications coordinator.

The event offered a reflection on the tensions between knowledge, technique, culture, and responsibility in the contemporary world. From a humanistic and critical perspective, the conversation raised questions about the role of thought in an era marked by technological acceleration and profound transformation of cultural frameworks.

With this first lecture, FORO BAI positioned architectural debate in dialogue with the humanities and reaffirmed its commitment to opening knowledge to a broader public conversation.
