Construction works on the future headquarters of BAI continue to progress

Construction works on the future headquarters of BAI continue to progress and have already reached a particularly significant milestone with the completion of the structural reinforcement. This is a key step in the building’s refurbishment process, enabling further development of the space that will host the institute’s academic, research, and design activities in the coming years. This material progress marks an important moment in consolidating BAI as a reference center in the industrialization, robotics, and innovation of architecture and construction, making visible the evolution of a project that aims to bring together education, thought, research, industry, and knowledge transfer within a single environment.
On the occasion of the second lecture of FORO BAI 2026, held last Thursday in Pamplona, invited speaker Marc Angélil and forum participants César Martín-Gómez and Fernando Veiga also visited the construction site together with project architect Francisco Mangado, as well as Andrea Deplazes and Patricia Minguito, Academic Director of the BAI PROGRAM and Academic Coordinator of the Institute, respectively. The visit provided a first-hand view of the building’s progress and an opportunity to share on-site the evolution of a project that is beginning to reveal more clearly the physical dimension of BAI.
In this way, the institute’s public activity and the development of its future headquarters continue to advance in parallel, reinforcing a central idea of BAI: that thought, design, and construction are part of a single, integrated process.
