BAI hosts the “AI & Architecture” workshop in Granada, featuring lectures, intensive work sessions, and a final reflection
BAI held the “AI & Architecture” workshop at the School of Architecture in Granada, an intensive program that took place from March 16 to 20, 2026, aimed at final-year undergraduate and qualifying Master’s students in Architecture, as well as young architects. Organized in collaboration with the School of Architecture of the University of Granada and its International Graduate School, the workshop was conceived as an applied introduction to the use of artificial intelligence in architectural practice.
The week began on Monday, March 16, with a series of keynote lectures featuring Roser Martínez-Ramos, Carmen Moreno, Francisco Mangado, Eduardo Prieto, Enrique Herrera, Lluís Ortega, and John Porral, establishing a broad framework for reflection on the impact of AI on architecture, teaching innovation, and new design processes.
Over the following days, the workshop developed through lectures and intensive working sessions led by John Porral and Javier Guerrero, focusing on the fundamentals of AI for architects, creative AI, workflows, and the transition from images to spatial design.
The program also included an intensive hands-on component, with practical sessions dedicated to experimentation, development, and the production of proposals, allowing students to test new tools and methodologies linked to AI in architectural design.
The workshop concluded on Friday, March 20, with a final review jury featuring Andrea Deplazes, Macarena Fernández Casanova, Juan Antonio Serrano, Miguel Martínez Monedero, and Carmen Moreno.
With this activity, BAI continues to expand its #BAIforma and #BAIacademy training initiatives focused on technological innovation in architecture, reinforcing a teaching model that combines critical thinking, emerging tools, and experimental practice.
