BAI hosts a new TECH TALKS session dedicated to design and digital fabrication
On June 11, BAI held a new session of TECH TALKS BAI at Polo IRIS in Pamplona. The event was dedicated to design and digital fabrication and was delivered by Javier Zaratiegui, a professional specialized in digital design and fabrication processes at Cocuus and Phenomenon Robotics, in a session aimed at introducing professionals and stakeholders from the sector to new working methodologies related to technological innovation, advanced manufacturing, and the contemporary transformation of architecture and construction.
During the session, Javier Zaratiegui addressed the role of digital design as a tool for connecting ideation, technical precision, and fabrication processes. The lecture provided an opportunity to reflect on how digital technologies are transforming the ways in which architectural solutions are conceived, produced, and materialized, opening up new possibilities for integrating design, fabrication, prototyping, and construction within more coordinated, precise, and efficient workflows.
The event formed part of TECH TALKS BAI, BAI’s series of technical sessions aimed at creating a platform for knowledge transfer between applied expertise, industry, architecture, and technology. Through these sessions, BAI seeks to bring concrete experiences to both professional and educational audiences, enabling a direct understanding of how innovation is being incorporated into real working processes within the construction sector. With this new session, BAI continues to strengthen its commitment to specialized training and to the dissemination of tools, methodologies, and practices capable of transforming the way architecture is designed and built. Digital fabrication, understood not only as a production technology but also as a new design culture, is thus consolidating itself as one of the key fields for thinking about the future of architecture and industrialized construction.
The activity was organized by the Navarre Employment Service – Nafar Lansare through the Lidera program, in collaboration with BAI – Building Architecture Institute.
